Bill is a founding member of the BC Association of Emergency Managers. The realization of this association fulfills a long term goal to bring emergency managers together to share information and assist one another in times of need. After 20 years in the EM business Bill recently received his designation as a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM). Presently, he is the Emergency Program Coordinator for the Sunshine Coast Regional District.
Bill is a Certified Trauma Responder (CTR), and continues to promote and teach Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) to emergency responders throughout the Province. He has been deployed to many disasters in British Columbia including freshet floods, ice jams, hazmats, rock slides and the 2003 and 2009 wildfires. EOC positions held include director, liaison officer, operations and logistics section chief. Bill remains a licensed paramedic, volunteer firefighter, first responder instructor and IEPC approved BCERMS instructor . |

Christine has been working in the Emergency Management field for the past two years with the City of Vancouver's Office of Emergency Management. She has a background in business management with a Bachelors of Commerce from the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University in Montreal and is currently working towards her Emergency Management certificate through the JI.
To complement her emergency management experience, Christine is involved in the Emergency Social Services aspect of Emergency Management as an active member of the Vancouver ESS team as well as Amateur radio. Christine joined the BCAEM team in 2008 as treasurer. |

Crissy has been in the Emergency Management Field for seven years and has a background in land use planning. She has experience in regional and municipal emergency management in having served as an Emergency Program Coordinator for a Regional District in Northern BC. She recently has left local government to establish her own consulting business and aspires to assist communities build local capacity in managing emergencies and disasters. Crissy was involved in the Steering Committee that launched the BCAEM and represents the Association on the BC Emergency Response Management System Advisory Committee.

Keith C. Boswell has been an active member and student of Emergency Services for over 30 years. Keith currently serves on the City of Surrey Fire Services management team as Assistant Chief of Operations
His specialties within the Fire Service include incident command, officer development, and hazardous materials management. Academic achievements include a wide variety of accredited fire service certificates and a British Columbia Provincial Instructor Diploma. Keith also holds a certificate in Emergency Management from the Justice Institute of British Columbia. Keith’s passion for the fire service and desire to learn led him to the Justice Institute of British Columbia Fire Academy (JIBC) in 1985 where he began instructing and developing a wide variety of fire service programs. He has worked as an instructor with fire departments and industrial clients throughout North America and in the Middle East in the areas of Fire Officer and Hazardous Materials Response. He has worked as a consultant in reviewing fire services and training operations for First Nations communities. He also worked as an advisor with the International Fire Service Training Association (IFSTA) in Oklahoma. Keith looks forward to serving the Central Regional District. |

Director, NE Region
|
Alan is the Fire Chief/Manager of Protective & Inspection Services for the District of Hudson’s Hope, responsible for the Fire & Rescue Department, Building Inspections and the Municipal Emergency Program. Interagency communications and a unified accountability systems are some of the things he is working on.
Prior to April of 2009, Alan was the Director of Protective Services for Rankin Inlet, Nunavut where he oversaw the Fire Department, Ambulance Service, Bylaw Enforcement and the Emergency Program. While in Rankin Inlet, he rewrote the community’s emergency plan to make it a usable document in an emergency. He also dealt with emergencies ranging from day to day fire operations, airport emergencies to a major power outage in February of 2008. Alan is also an Amateur (Ham) Radio Operator – VA7EMS/VY0FD. Alan looks forward to serving the association as the Northeast Director and to working with the Board and Members of the Association to further emergency management in the province. Alan is the Associations Information Officer and is also Policies & Procedures Portfolios and shares Membership with 2 other board members. |

PEP Representative (Ex Officio)

David has been in the emergency management field for 9 years. In his previous role at PEP David was the Provincial ESS Coordinator with the Emergency Social Services (ESS) Office. He has been operational in many disasters throughout British Columbia including various flood events and the 2003 wildfires.
David is presently assigned as the PEP project lead for the implementation of ETeam (Emergency Management Information System - EMIS) into the PEP organization and their emergency operation centres (PECC & PREOC). David's base position is still the Local Government Emergency Planning Officer for PEP. He works from the PEP Headquarters Office in Victoria. |

Mike has been involved with Emergency Management since his service with the Canadian Air Force 442 Search & Rescue Sqn in Comox. Since then he has worked various aspects of emergency management including 25 years as a ski patrol supervisor, 20 years as a Search & Rescue manager and the last 12 years as the Comox Valley Emergency Program Coordinator.
He has also been involved in the design and writing of the Emergency Response Plan for the Mid Island Emergency Coordinators and Managers group (MIECM) and three Vancouver Island First Nation Emergency Plans. Mike is also an IEP-approved BCERMS training provider. |
