The Discussion List is an e-mail-based mailing list for communication between all those interested in emergency management in BC. The list is named BCAEM-Members. Once you have paid the current year's membership and your email address has been added to the system, you will receive all list posts in your e-mail inbox. The subject line of each post will be prefaced with the tag [BCAEM-Members] for easy identification. To send a message to the list, simply send an e-mail to the list address as described below.

Posting
To post to the list you must already be subscribed to the list. Once subscribed, all you need to do is send your post to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and it will be sent to all members of the list. If you have multiple e-mail accounts, you must use the one which is subscribed to the list when posting or your e-mail will be rejected.
Archive
All posts send to the list are archived on-line. Please note that all posts are archived, so please keep this in mind when posting to the list. Posts cannot be removed from the archive.You will need to login with your list account to view the archive. Please note that this is the account information you received when you were signed up for the list. It is NOT the same account you use for the BCAEM website.

Unsubscribing
There are two ways to unsubscribe from the list:
- Method 1: to unsubscribe from the list, go to the List Management Page, enter your e-mail address in the appropriate box in the BCAEM-Members Subscribers section at the bottom of the page, and click the Unsubscribe or edit options button. Follow the directions
- Method 2: send a blank e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it from the e-mail account you would like to unsubscribe from the list. You will receive an e-mail from the list. Follow the directions in that e-mail.
